About Spread A Smile

Spread a Smile is a UK based charity, founded by Jospehine Segal and Vanessa Crocker in 2013 whose aim is to brighten the days of seriously ill children and teenagers in hospital by taking teams of entertainers into paediatric and adolescent wards.

Working with numerous children's wards and specialist hospitals throughout the country, Spread A Smile arrange in-patient entertainment and performances, for young people in treatment bringing much needed joy, light and laughter to these courageous children and teenagers.


Spread A Smile's entertainers provide a diversion from the boredom and monotony of hospital stays and help young patients to brave their treatment.


Spread A Smile also aims to help patients and their families create lasting and positive memories, organising outings to theatres and concerts and specialist parties for the children they care for.
